I get it. When you’re up against an obstacle it can feel like a battle. Battles have only one winner. You want to win. To crush it. To kill it.

Lately, those terms are rubbing me the wrong way. I’m not sure why. Maybe I’m not enjoying the prospect of everything in life being a battle. There’s a lot of battling going on in our world, from actual war zones to the halls of Congress.

So, I’m stepping into something new, instead of thinking about annihilating whatever is in front of me, I’ve started thinking in terms of embracing it. Whatever challenge I’m facing is here to teach me a lesson, so why not embrace it and learn everything I can?

I’ve noticed that I’m just as committed to achieving the outcome, but I feel less stress as I work through it. I’m more clear-headed, and consequently, make better decisions. Challenges now occur for me as an adventure, and I love adventures. Time will tell, but so far, so good.

How do you approach challenges? Does it produce the results that you want? Have you changed your approach and seen different results? Whatever your approach, here’s to everyone’s success!
